Your Character:

Name: Xenmäs
Class: Retribution Paladin (currently)
Armory link:
UI Screenshots (1 while in combat as well):
RealID: Xenmas#2256

Give us an explanation for your gear choices, including why you prioritize certain stats:

Currently for Ret Paladin you prioritize different stats depending on your azerite gear choices, for me because I am playing with 1x Expurgation trait atleast the priority on Crit goes quite high so I am sitting at 22% crit. Since Crusade gives you such a high amount haste during wings you don’t need more than 1k haste currently. After that you want just mastery and maybe some versatility if it’s really low.

For azerite gear choices I am currently playing what sims best for me and that’s 2x Avenger’s Might, 1x Light’s Decree, 1x Empyrean Power, 1x Expurgation and 1x Covenant. A lot of people go for 3x Light’s Decree but from my personal results and sims 2x Avenger’s Might is slightly better on ST.

Do you have any logs from your recent raids? Please provide extensive narrative as to why some logs are below average / anything specific you want us to take note of.

Yes I have but they are private. You can get my login if you want to check them.

Personal information:

Age: 21
Country: Spain
Do you have any upcoming events or plans that will make you unavailable for a long period of time (such as holidays/exams, etc)?

No I don’t.

Meeting the requirements:

What is your normal latency(ms) and FPS during raids? (Ideally give us the specs of your PC).

I am usually sitting around 50 MS and 60 FPS during raids.

Can you raid on all of our raid days (Wednesday, Sunday, Monday)? In addition, if raid days are moved will this cause a problem?

Yes, the raid days you have are the same as my current guild, and if you were to move the days it won’t c a be a problem because I can raid every day as long as we start at 19.00 earliest.

Do you have Discord installed and are you willing to speak?

Yes, communication is key during raids so I am willing to speak whenever is necessary.

Your Raiding Background:

Please give a brief overview of your guild history and what is the reason for leaving your current/last guild?

My current guild is – “Competence Optional”. I joined them right after I got my G’huun kill on Mayhem and after playing with them for a few weeks on farm I thought we’d have a strong tier on BoD. However I was disappointed by the preparation from most of the raiders, and the lack of willingness from people to try different strategies when the pulls were not working out. It seems like the guild had more of a friendly approach rather than a competitive approach, and that’s fine but it wasn’t what I was looking for.

“Mayhem”. This was a “brand” new guild made by some friends that I joined after taking a break from Antorus. We had a lot of new players and some players that had world 100 experience, but the guild didn’t work out as expected because people were constantly quitting the game and we had to get a lot of new trials, so in the end I wanted to join something better and more stable.

What is your raiding experience? (starting with the most recent Tier(s)).

BoD 8/9M as a Ret Paladin. I’ve played paladin the whole tier even though I tried to prepare DH and Boomkin for some fights, but the officers wanted me to stay in paladin.

Uldir 8/8M as DH. When I joined “Mayhem” there was already 3 warlocks so I went with the class that seemed the most fun for me and that was DH, it was also a really good choice because of the magical debuff. After killing G’huun I went to “Competence Optional” and I started playing Ret Paladin.

Antorus 11/11M. I started playing the game after quitting B&S another MMO, 1 month after Antorus was released so I leveled and geared multiple characters to get into a raiding guild as quick as possible. It turned out my warlock was super lucky on HC raids so I played it for progress. I really liked the class so I stayed with it for farm.

What websites/resources do you use to keep yourself updated on the game and your class?

Whenever I pick up a new class I start by reading basic guides on to get a first impression of the class. After that I usually ask or watch really good players that are currently playing it and I try to understand their decision making on certain stats/situations if I’m unsure on what to do. Then when I have good knowledge of the class I start making my own decisions on different situations. I constantly sim my character after changes and I think playing the game in general makes you better at your class in any scenario.

What do you expect from us?

I expect a competitive and mature environment where the team has 110% focus on progressing as fast as we can and get the best world rank possible with the time available. I also expect everyone in the raiding team to give their best. That would include for me full preparation of the fight and when progressing always try to improve every detail that will help us get down the boss faster.

Do you know anyone in the guild, if yes who?

I know Muqt, a friend from my current guild “Competence Optional”.

Where did you hear about us? (WoW Progress, MMO Champion etc.)

I heard a lot from you by Muqt. He knows I was not happy with the performance in “Competence Optional” and he highly recommended me this guild, and after watching you progress in Jaina I think this guild will be a good improvement.

Lastly, is there anything else you'd like to mention?

I am a person who likes playing multiple characters so I usually don’t mind what class I play for progress/farm, so if there’s a class we really need for progress I don’t mind swapping out. I won’t be the best player on it but I’ll make sure I’m really solid on every aspect of the class. To me DH is probably the most enjoyable class for me atm, but Warrior and Warlock are usually really solid and I think they are the two classes I’d like to play after DH. Please if you have any concerns don’t hesitate to contact me and we can talk about it.
