Give us an explanation for your gear choices, including why you prioritize certain stats:
Gear choices is pretty straight forward. For azerite, you want as many stacks of Furious gaze and Undulating Tides as you can, + 1 Chaotic transformation. As for the rest of the gear, Benthic is currently simming the highest, beating mythic gear by far. And because of the boots (that increases your crit damage), crit chance is currently the stat to go with this build. It will most likely be nerfed, but at which case, we just fall back to the good old versatility build.
So, currently the stat priority (with benthic boots) is: Crit > Versatility > Haste > Agility > Mastery
Do you have any logs from your recent raids? Please provide extensive narrative as to why some logs are below average / anything specific you want us to take note of.
For current tier, Heroic EP, I'm mostly staying around 90-95th percentile comfortably.
As for mythic last tier, it was pretty bad. Had to do a guild change mid-tier, and got stuck in this guild that currently doesn't try to be the best they can be. We're having dps ignoring mechanics, and still can't manage to hit 20k dps. A raidleader that doesn't really know what's going on half the time and the mentality that "It's ok to be bad."
Now, it might be ok to be bad, but staying bad isn't. And that's something many raiders in my current guild seems to fail to understand. Hence, this application.
Do you have any upcoming events or plans that will make you unavailable for a long period of time (such as holidays/exams, etc)? Going on my grand uncle's birthday for the first week of August. That's about it.
Meeting the requirements:
What is your normal latency(ms) and FPS during raids? (Ideally give us the specs of your PC).
Intel Core i7-7700K Kaby Lake
MSI Z270 Tomahawk
2x Ballistix Sport LT DDR4 16GB
2x MSI GeForce GTX 1080 Gaming X
Samsung PM961 SSD 512GB
2x Seagate Firecuda 2TB
Corsair Hydro Series H60
EVGA GQ 750W Hybrid Modular 80+ PSU
Also running on a 150/150 cabled fiber connection, so latency isn't a problem.
Can you raid on all of our raid days (Wednesday, Sunday, Monday)? In addition, if raid days are moved will this cause a problem? As long as the hours are the same, it shouldn't matter to me.
Do you have Discord installed and are you willing to speak?
Yes, and yes.
Your Raiding Background:
Dog shite. Started casual raiding in MoP, got ahead of the curve on Garrosh. Fast forward to legion, I started mythic with a toxic trash guild that literally denied me loot for 6 months before they asked me why I was dealing less damage than the others. Fun. Got CE Xavious with them, and got Star Augur to 1% before quitting the game. Came back at the start of this expansion and have had a lot of bad luck with guilds. While I follow mechanics and top the dps meters, my fellow raiders can't manage to do the same.
Please give a brief overview of your guild history and what is the reason for leaving your current/last guild?
My first guild this expansion was Murloc Apocalypse. They were terrible, and disbanded a week after I left.
My current guild is Taco, and they lack motivation. They feel it's fine to be a world 2000 guild, while I don't have the same mindset. I want to be top 200, the very least. Preferably even higher.
What is your raiding experience? (starting with the most recent Tier(s)).
Ahead of the Curve PE
Ahead of the Curve CoS (Guild didn't want to progress mythic on this, for some reason)
What websites/resources do you use to keep yourself updated on the game and your class?
The Felhammer discord, wowhead, MMO-Champion. But usually I just sim the shit out of every gear I come across.
What do you expect from us?
A competetive raiding environment.
Do you know anyone in the guild, if yes who?
Where did you hear about us? (WoW Progress, MMO Champion etc.)
Well, Bad Luck has been one of the top guilds on Tarren Mill for quite some time. So, I guess I've just seen you on lists here and there.
Lastly, is there anything else you'd like to mention?
I do have a druid, rogue, priest, shaman and warrior at max level with decent gear, if required. Gearing them up shouldn't be a problem for me, but it's a pain gearing up characters you're not gonna play.
